PRESENTATION

 

CTM is a company based in Madeira, focused on the execution of Public Works, which celebrated 31 years of operations on 16 August 2016.

Founded as Tecnorocha - Sociedade de Escavação e Desmonte de Rochas, Limitada, over the years it grew dedicated to the public works markets, its main business area being the construction of tunnels and geotechnical works.


On 15 December 2005, the company changed its company name to Construtora do Tâmega Madeira, S.A.


CTM integrates, however, the sphere of the AFA Group from December 31, 2013. The company strengthens, since then, their experience with particular focus on building roads, bridges, viaducts, tunnels, and bituminous paving and was responsible for a broad range of projects that greatly contributed to construction in Madeira and the development of the Autonomous Region.

PART OF THIS VAST PORTFOLIO ARE

a) the first and second phases of the highway between Câmara de Lobos and Ribeira Brava;

 

b) the João Gomes Bridge, which won the Secil Engineering Award in 1997;

 

c) the bridge over Ribeira da Boa Nova;

 

d) the Amoreira Viaduct;

 

e) the engineering works and tunnel projects such as those in Santa Cruz, which still today are the largest in the country in cross-section;

 

f) the Double Tunnel at Caniçal, which is the largest double tunnel in Portugal, among the many others scattered round the island.
