The engineering and construction sector is at the origin of the AFA Group that currently has three companies operating in this area: AFAVIAS (the group’s insignia for the construction business), CTM, and AFAVIAS Azores.

Together, these companies have already carried out more than 3000 construction works within different categories, including main roadways, geotechnical, hydraulic and maritime projects, buildings, sports facilities, pavements, and wastewater treatment plants.

AFAVIAS also has branches in Angola, Colombia, and Equatorial Guinea, as well as construction projects in Mauritania and Senegal. Angola is precisely the international market that stands out the most having represented more than half of the company’s invoicing, in some years.

In the construction and engineering sector, the AFA Group had a turnover of 145 million euros in 2021.
