Given the complementary nature existing between civil construction and real estate promotion, and seeking to empower the use of the synergies that exist between the two sectors of activity, the real estate sector has always been seen as an important area of diversification within the AFA Group for its business portfolio and in the markets where it is working.

Real estate promotion (project definition and development, marketing and commercialisation), as well as real estate consultancy and mediation are carried out through a set of specific companies under a common corporate entity: the AFA Imobiliária brand.

The portfolio of investments managed by this business area of the Group, under the aegis of the AFA Imobiliária brand, includes investments in the Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores and mainland Portugal, with the promotion of residential properties making up the greater portion of projects executed or in progress, but also includes offices, logistics parks and urban planning.

Among these investments, the following enterprises already built or in the construction phase are underscored, due to their relative weight in the investment efforts: the Casa do Oriente, a building located in the Park of the Nations in Lisbon, which includes 44 residential units and 5 commercial spaces; the Horta dos Vimes, an enterprise located north of Lisbon in the municipality of Alenquer, which is also a project for collective housing, made up of 247 units. Other projects include: the undertakings Edifício Cidade Nova, in the municipality of Santa Cruz, Madeira, and Jardins dos Cedros in Funchal. On São Miguel Island, Azores, there are the enterprises Urbanização dos Milagres, Moradias da Ajuda and on the Island of Faial, the Bairro Capitão Moreira Carvalho.

Besides the investments mentioned above, the portfolio of real estate projects of the AFA Group also includes investments in the areas of industrial subdivisions, with the construction of an industrial park located at Azambuja, with an area of 240,000 m2; rehabilitation and urban conversion, with a project located at Cacilhas in Almada, with an area of approximately 35,000 m2; and expansion and improvements of territory with an urbanisation plan for the sea front of the village of Calheta, Madeira, covering 154,139 m2.

Today, AFA Imobiliária consolidates its identity as a real estate brand in Portugal, having at its disposal a professional team and following the standards for excellence in management arising from the connection with the AFA Group. This connection gives AFA Imobiliária a capacity to act, consolidated in various sectors of the market, besides benefiting from the AFA quality of construction, which represents a considerable asset for its customers.

The growing concentration of the AFA Group in the real estate sector demonstrates the increased intention to invest in this area of business.
